Nice read, but the premise of attachment is being confused with the notion of lust. Love is, in fact, an emotional attachment. There is no separating the two. Love wouldn’t exist without feelings of attachment. Feeling attached is what love is. A bond.

You can’t be in love with someone if you don’t feel an attachment to them. It’s impossible to have one without the other. They go hand in hand. If this were true, love would be controllable and rational. The emotion of love is anything but….

Love isn’t a choice. We can’t choose who we love or how much we feel. Love chooses for us. If people could control emotions, this world would have far less problems. Some people think of love summed in 2 words, impulsive & unreasonable. But the best description would be random and irrational.

If you look at the bond between a mother and child, which is based on pure emotional attachment, there’s no stronger love in the world. It’s lifelong and unconditional love that stems from overwhelming feelings of attachment, starting in the womb.

Logically speaking, there’s a significant difference between lust & attachment in regards to love.

Lust & Love are separate. Love & Attachment are inseparable.

Logically speaking…of course.
